1095 fantasy style blade, recurve.

Reminds me a bit of a Turkish Yataghan (sp?). If you're looking for ideas on how to mount it, I think that the sort of sideways-facing fishtail hilt looked pretty good on that style of blade.

Thanks! Yeah, reminds everyone of a yataghan, but I won't be mounting it like that. Will get a fantasy style hilt, ornate and hopefully bronze.

Btw, I didn't notice til after I commented that you're the same Sam from over on SFI. That sort of makes your fave of my wallhanger modifcation a lot more flattering since I've been a fan of the works you've posted on the forum. I don't post a whole lot, but I love seeing all the new stuff that goes through the general section. In particular I remember seeing some Prince of Persia replicas a while ago that I just thought looked amazing.

Very nice. The mild curve is excellent and adds a really nice touch. I look forward to seeing this one get finished.

Once I get more into smithing, I'd like to try my hand at a sword or two. Pattern welding maybe even...
